Blogging Around The Holidays

Since Thanksgiving was coming I decided to lighten up on my blogging. Why not go with the flow, I figured. People are traveling and shopping, not reading blogs. Of course that’s not completely true, but I expected much smaller numbers around the holiday and I had them. I ended up catching up on some rest, and taking it very, very easy. The result is I returned from my short hiatus today, feeling much more lively.
Blogging gets boring for anyone. So if you’ve done it for an extended period of time, you realize you have to schedule breaks or you’ll end up having a melt-down. The subject can get very stale, especially when you don’t have any experiences to make up for your time spent in front of the computer. Balancing your “normal” life and your blogging life is important, no matter how much time you spend slaving away on your blog software.
Today ended up being a very easy day as it related to blogging. I had plenty of energy to get the job done, and I even felt a bit elated at doing it, after having some days off.
I plan on doing the same thing around Christmas and New Year’s. I’ll just pace myself and make sure to enjoy plenty of free time when the rest of society is doing it.
How about you? Do you post less often around the holidays?
