Pretty Major Google Update Happening

There’s been a fairly major Google update occuring for the last few days, and it’s bringing some incredible volatility to the results pages. Google is constantly updating their index, but at certain times the flux gets a lot more volatile. One of those times is right now, as a major upheaval seems to be going on.
I’ve had one websites that has dumped out of the Google index over and over, and it happens on the 27th or 28th day of the month, around 2 months apart. This has gone one for over a year, and every single technique I’ve tried to avoid this happening has failed. Adding new content and links doesn’t work, and neither does being patient.
Whenever a whole website drops and immediatedly stops earning, it brings up a lot of unpleasant emotions for me, with anger being the lead one. This time, I figure I’ll add a “Google Sitemap” and update the content regularly, figuring they’ve made some sort of mistake, and will soon sort it out. It’s time like this when I remember why I have over 20 websites, and not just one.
The update isn’t over yet, and I’ve also gained traffic on several websites, so I have to remain philosophical at this point.
Are you noticing anything going on for you?

I keep an eye out for these updates all the time, as my main earning site :@ got pushed way down the rankings about 2-3 months ago, crawled back, then down again, it’s in the middle right now.
I have not seen any changes over the last few days, (a very slight increase, but I think it’s due to forum links and not google). My changes seem to happen almost monthly, around the 15-16th. Others seem to seem to see changes around the end of the month, I guess there are different data servers or changes there.
I also run about 20 sites now(added five this week), I had about 80% of my eggs in this one website, and it impacts my earnings too much. Many baskets now my friend.

If I may ask (and I could be wrong, but others might also want to know..)
What Google Update are you talking about? And how we can check our own sites to see if our sites are being dumped and affected?
Thanks Darren //
PS .. When I looked at my adsense stats .. my eCPMs are quite high and my impression count is quite low. Clicks are also low - but earnings are about normal by this time of day. According to my network Sitemeter stats, yesterday’s traffic was better than the previous day’s traffic but today sucks. However, for me it is always like that getting spikes of traffic on monday and a slowdown during the weekend.
But .. I hope that trend says .. higher eCPM’s .. so if traffic boosts - so will my adsense revenue. I can use a Chocolate Chip Muffin to go with that coffee. Meanwhile, I’m more interested in trying to make my sites available for text link space rent .. (for now) .. I hate it when I login to my adsense account more than once a day .. Woohoo 65 cents! woohoo 70 cents! Woohoo $1.25! That’s depressing at my levels.
PPSS .. also, wasn’t your “Links Pimped” or “Value” something like 118,000 the other day? Is this the blog you are talking about?

I’m mainly speaking about the SERPS results.
I’ve seen some dramatic changes in rankings of keywords this week. PR and backlinks won’t update for awhile.
As to the “Links Pimped”, good question. It looks like Yahoo must be reporting a lot lower links than they used to. One more thing to keep track of
