If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

If you update your blog often, you probably want to let Google know. And know you can, by pinging away.

Today we’re launching the Google Blog Search Pinging Service, which is a way for individual bloggers and blog platform providers to inform us of content changes. Blogging providers who syndicate RSS/Atom/XML and want to be included in our Blog Search index can now ping us directly. We’ll continue to monitor other pinging services and will contribute change notifications to the community.

They also wrote an indepth Google Pinging FAQ, which should tell you everything you ever wanted to know.

If you want to ping them manually, you can, but I don’t suggest that at all.

    2. I utilize the XML Sitemap plugin for WP, and everytime I update my blog, it refreshes the xml and pings google with the same.
