How many people out there keep a time sheet of their blogging efforts? I can’t hear you! I mean, I really can’t hear you…I’m blogging. But anyways, I bet not everyone does this, myself included. Why? Blogging is an activity, unlike other, and yet similar in many ways. If you aren’t careful, you can quickly devote way too much time to blogging. What’s too much time? That will depend on your lifestyle and needs, but time is one commodity that none of us have enough of.
How many total hours weekly do you spend blogging? What is you wage per hour?
Good questions, eh? I’m not sure of the answer. Many of you will answer too much/too little, and you may be right, but then again you may just not have calculated your wages right. How can we deduce what we’re being paid? Might I suggest we keep a timesheet, and then divide the total revenue received by the total number of hours worked. That will at least give us a rough “working wage”, which will either serve to motivate us to further greatest, or convince us to throw in the towel at long last.
Don’t forget to include all of the things you do for “blogging”
Blogging can be a big category. You need to include the amount of time you spend socializing and the amount of time you spend reading or researching posts. This is where the time really starts to add up. Do you mindlessly surf around from blog to blog with no agenda? This could add up to hours quickly.
You must be ruthless in your accounting. If you spend 1 hour watching Youtube videos in order to find something interesting to post about, write it down. Write down all of the time you spent, so you get a complete and total picture of your current blogging income. Then you can work on ways to increase it.
I’ve started doing this, and I’ll have an update in the future on what I’ve found.
Do you keep track of your time spent blogging?

I don’t keep any record of my time spent doing anything blog related. It’s a good idea.
