Setting a high standard for your blog

When you set out to make your fame blogging, you need to realize that the world could care less. I can’t think of a single human who will be excited to hear the news: “a new blog has started!”. Look at the sentence, tell me what emotions it conjures for you: “a new blog has started!” I can’t muster a bit of enthusiasm. Neither can anyone else. That means you need to get out there and show the uncaring world something they can get behind.
Can you offer something new and exciting to the blogging world? There’s no question in my mind, you can. It will take effort, research, and social contacts to accomplish it, but in the end, you can succeed at this game, or any other one you set your mind to. Blogging is a crowded field, sure, but it doesn’t cost anyone extra to add your RSS feed to their readers. If you keep them interested, they’ll be back.
The only downside to setting high standards is you have to maintain them. It’s not easy. Some days you might feel like typing in a one line. Maybe linking to another post and adding the single-theme “LOL” to it to show how funny you thought it is. But think of your readers. Ah yes, the readers. The ones that actually are the lifeblood of your blog, or any blog for that reader. Will they appreciate your economy of action? Will they continue to seek out your words if they know you’ve been reduced to clanking out posts? Who knows. But you better not take the chance.
So that’s it. Go out there today and set a high standard for your blog. Promise to try and be unique to all. Promise to give it your best on every post. If you don’t know the answer to something, track it down and research it. Because with quality work comes quality results. And that’s what we’re all here for.

Setting a high standard is good but a blogger must be careful not to get obsessed with it. You have to remember that your every article will not shine. Secondly, if you write less than you give Google less articles to index.

You’re right about that. There are times when you just have to “post it up” anyway. I guess I meant we should all “try” to shoot for our highest standards.
Of course, standards is a qualitative term, anyway.
