Yes indeed, it’s time for a new series. This time we’re reaching out into the blogosphere to interview bloggers. So far the details are sketchy, but basically we’re looking for people who:

  • Blog for money - the job doesn’t have to be full time, but blogging is something you earn income from
  • Be witty - that goes without saying
  • Be willing to include a digital photograph - so we know who we’re talking to

I promise I’ll come up with some devastatingly interesting questions, so don’t worry about that. These interviews promise to be some of the sexiest, most exciting, and potentially most profitable posts going, so DO NOT HESITATE to contact me at once to set yours up.

Spread the word, if you’re able, to the farthest reaches of the blogosphere. It’s time to shine the spotlight on the hard-working bloggers who make up the backbone of the internet.

    2. I think I’d like to be interviewed. My blog is Dogviews. URL is above. I’m just a marketing person that used to have a big job and I had a mid-life crisis and now all I want to talk about is dogs — and make money doing it.

    3. Nothing wrong with having mid-life crises. Some people go for 19 year old blondes, others go into blogging :)

I’ll whip up some questions today and send them off today for you to answer.

      Thanks,

Plus this shows the power of the media. 1 hour from posting to having our first participant.

P.S. Dogs are a great subject for making money online, as you already know. Good choice of subject matter.

    5. Darren, I have posted about your announcement in two message boards and I hope some people will visit it. KellyC came from one of them. You have taken a good initiative. WIshing you all the best. How are doing with your network?

By Razib Ahmed on Jul 16, 2006

    6. Hello Razib,

Thanks for the assistance. The network is doing well. In July we’ve started to monetize blogs and are now re-investing the revenue into more content through paying bloggers to post.

The numbers are small of course, since we’ve been at it only for 4 months, but at least we’re moving in the right direction.

    7. I have stepped into blogoshere rather recently and my first few steps can be compared with those of Neil Armstrong while landing on the moon. As billions watched him exploring and enjoying the vista that lay before him, I am humbly going about my Blog in the same way without, of course. being noticed! To begin with, I have posts for which there are conflicting views. For example, is quality of life more important than longivity or does success in life depend upon nature, nurture or fate? I think it will be a feather in my cap if Blog Republic interviews me.

    8. Sounds good to me. Look for an email later with the interview questions.

    9. Hmmm, I see I had a mention in your interview with John Evans. I guess that means you have to interview me now.

Come to think of it, I’ll do you a deal - you can interview my co-blogger, Andrea Paulsen, at the same time. And, if you ask really nicely, I might even do you a new header. Now it’s not every day you get an offer like that!

    10. Alright, Clive. I’m sure we can do something like that.

I’ll be getting these next round of questions out there today.
