Blogging has a rhythm all its’ own. Traffic ebbs and flows, and of course a lot of it is predicated upon how humans at large are behaving. An event as big as the FIFA World Cup affects millions of people, so by extension, it affects the traffic patterns on the internet and blogs. What this means is we have to develop our own pace and approach to blogging.
A lot of this will depend on the industry we select, and the keywords we configure. In certain industries, news come fast and furious. In others, the pace is more like a major league baseball game. If your industry dicates you take a leisurely pace, then you need to heed the call. Otherwise, you might end up like a round peg in a square hole.
How can we determine an appropriate pace. It’s not always easy to do, and might require quite a bit of practice in order for us to get it just right. But if we keep on testing and tweaking, we’ll find a style of posting that suits us. If we can keep our efforts optimized in regards to our own personalities, we’re ten times more likely than most to be productive. Stay on goal, keep in focus, and the disciplined habit of posting is bound to result in good things.
Have you discovered your rhythm?
