Blogging in a decade

Can you even imagine it? It’s not that easy to do, for me. Sure I can picture that some people might be doing something called “blogging”, but it’s bound to be incredibly different than the current format people use. The future in general ten years from now promises to be a place that’s vastly different than this one. Improvements come so rapidly in technology, that the main struggle is to find the ability to use everything to its’ true potential.
So undoubtedly the technology will change. What would be most interesting is to see what the future holds for the people blogging today. Will they still be around? They’ll be older and presumably wiser. Perhaps they’ll be “beamed directly” into your home like someone on TV is today. Maybe bloggers will become a part of everyone’s daily lives.

As video becomes more prevalent, it’s become sort of obvious to me that people can be chronicled in a way that wasn’t available to prior generations. Your grandchildren should have no problem using some sort of search engine and finding video and writings of you! That’s a huge advantage for curious descendants.
If this medium turns into more of a media channel, what will happen to the current participants? Will they be relegated to the dustbin of time like so many others? It’s nearly impossible to say. That’s the main problem with predicting the future.
What do you think blogging will be like in the future? Do you think you can make it ten years? How about 5?
