Is there an invisible hand holding you back?

Negativity has a weird way of creeping up on us, if we’re not careful. The other day I found myself referring to search engines and saying “there’s an invisible hand preventing a few of my sites from doing much better”. The statement sounded odd when I said it, and I reflected on it later.
It’s easy to believe in invisible things that can be proven. If someone didn’t believe in electricity, you could quickly convert their belief by shoving their thumb in a light socket. There’s nothing like pure voltage to make a believer out of someone. But it’s no that easy proving an invisible hand is really holding you back in life. There’s no light socket to plug into, so basically that forces us to give up on this thought.
If there is no invisible hand holding me back, what else could it be? Frankly, it could be one of any number of much more realistic and down to Earth factors which you have plenty of control over. If you think that something you can’t control is ruining your chances for success, it leaves you in a very precarious situation. By admitting that there’s nothing special about you, and that the world is largely indifferent to your existence, you can come to terms with the facts that you need to get your hustle on if you’re not achieving the results you want.
If the invisible hand is coming down on you, you need to act fast. Put that thought out of you mind and get back to basics. More likely than a conspiracy, you can make a checklist of all the things you need to be doing to be successful in your niche, and give yourself and honest appraisal. Are you doing all you can to succeed? Are you giving up to uneasily? There are any number of poor attitudes that can sink in if you let them. And any or all of them combined may result in your untimely demise, if you let them become principle components of your mindset. Weed out the negativity, especially when it comes from within, and don’t let third parties who don’t really care about you (affiliate programs, Google, etc) affect your actions based on what they’re doing. The invisible hand can become your ally when you learn to control it.
