With blog links, it’s quality over quantity

One of the big things you always here about blogging is: it’s a relatively easy sphere in which to get links. This is true, but needs a qualifier. What blogs provide you with is a chance to write to an elite audience, that isn’t normally available to you. There are journalists, CEOs, and all kinds of other decision makers routinely active in the Blogosphere, and many of them can link to you in away that has a fair reaching SEO and social networking impact.

Recently I receive a suprising incoming link from a prestigious magazine’s website. In the SEO world, receiving a link from a high ranking low Alexa rank website with international prominence is extremely unlikely, if not impossible, to acquire without a payment. With a blog, you can garner many such links, and not only will they help you from a search engine standpoint, they will also expose you to an elite audience of decision makers who can help your business grow further.

Blogs are read by highly intelligent, highly motivated people, like you, who are in a position to further the causes of bloggers who they deem worthy. If your material can stand a “smell test” and your online image is stable enough, you can advance your small business faster than you could ever dream to in a traditional bricks and mortar environment.

The main way you can ensure that you keep on getting killer links, is continuing to write killer material that makes people stand up and notice. Much of the blogosphere, my friends, is tired old crap. I see a lot of interlinked network of friends who offer very little information on their blogs and rely mainly on the benefits of a social network. These people are vulnerable to a takeover by a nation of hungry bloggers, hell bent on world domination. If you have that rabid, mad-dog, crazy-eyed drive to succeed, there’s no possibility you’ll be overlooked.

When you blog today, do so with zeal. Type every word as if your life depended on it, because if you’re blogging for money, it does! This is not a charity, unless you let it be. I’ve been blogging hard for only 60 days and I’m starting to see tangible results that are having an economic benefit on my online marketing business. Incoming links from excellent sources and increasing traffic and revenue are clearly trending up as my blogging accelerates. So far, the methods I’m using and mentioning on this site are starting to have the desired effect. I guess the only thing that remains to do, is to do a heck of a lot more of what’s working.
