With the dawn of the internet, anyone anywhere can share their thoughts, dreams, beliefs and hobbies with a worldwide audience. All that’s needed is an internet connection and a blog.

If you haven’t already started one, here are a few ideas on topics what you could blog about.

1. Hobbies. There are so many out there! This type of blog could cover things like supplies that you need, projects that you have in the works, instructions for projects, or other interesting facts about your hobby. Coin collecting, Baseball Cards, Fishing, Embroidery, Scrapbooking, Beading, Kite Flying..if you can give an interesting view on something you enjoy doing, surely others will enjoy it too.

2. Relationships. Relationships are a vital part of everyone’s life. If you’re a parent, you could talk about challenges you might have raising children, and how you address them in daily life. If you are in management, you might want to focus on issues that concern the workplace and employees. If you are newly engaged, you could talk about your upcoming wedding plans (and beyond). People that are involved in interracial relationships could discuss challenges they must overcome to make the relationship work. There are a lot of complexities in relationships, and giving a fresh view on how you handle your own could help someone else, who might be going through the same thing.

3. Politics. If you’re motivated, making a blog on politics is always worth the time. People love to hear opposing views on the political system and love to debate about their beliefs. Not exactly everyone’s cup of tea, but it’s a subject that can cause quite a stir!

4. Your Business. If you already have an online presence(website) tacking on a blog that you update with new products, services or general information about the business can help build your customer base. You might want to give tips that your readers can use. For example, if you have a business that offers home improvement services, you could give tips on “how-to” projects, how to deal with unexpected problems when remodeling, or ways to get projects finished more effeciently.

5. Anything you enjoy writing about. Blogs are fluid in the fact that they don’t have to be about any one thing. They can be about you. They include photos, video, jokes.. Your blog is your place, you can write about whatever you’d like.

So if you’re looking to make your mark on the internet, get to blogging.. you don’t need any fancy programming or technical skills to get started, so there’s no excuse for putting it off another day. People are interested in what you have to say!
