Yes it’s true. Blog Republic has already been spidered by Google, within 2 hours of purchasing the domain. Links from active websites really are the best way to get spidered quickly by Google.

It will be interesting to see if there’s any type of Sandbox effect, or maybe we’ll be lucky and this website will rank well from the beginning. I’m not sure but I’m optimistic. Here are the entries from the logs: - - [13/Mar/2006:19:27:55 -0500] “GET /robots.txt HTTP/1.1″ 404 4543 “-” “Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; Googlebot/2.1; +” - - [13/Mar/2006:19:27:55 -0500] “GET / HTTP/1.1″ 200 8107 “-” “Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; Googlebot/2.1; +” - - [13/Mar/2006:19:27:56 -0500] “GET /feed/ HTTP/1.1″ 200 3513 “-” “Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; Googlebot/2.1; +”
